And the price in this case is reasonable. Software, good software you actually use, is made by real people who need to eat. It’s easy to get hypnotized by free stuff and the prevailing going rate of apps in the store and start thinking that paying more than a few cents for an app is outrageous overpricing, but let’s be real. HazeOver is a paid app, but that shouldn’t upset you. In the test period, everything worked as it should, and there were no weird transitions between windows or views. You might get slightly irritated by the way focus changes, but they’ve done a pretty good job of minimizing any annoying scene changes. If you actually want to ignore everything else other than your chosen task, HazeOver really does help. And the nagging should only get prominent after actively using the app for about a week.Anything that pops up is less clear and so much easier to ignore unless you are the sort of person who is biochemically obsessed with knowing everything that’s going on.

The last point makes me wish there was a better alternative available. The absolute surprise was that as if the nagging wasn’t enough, the developer decided to increase the font of the “Hazeover | Free Trial” tag at the bottom left corner to as big as when it litterally covered up the entire background and the text expanded beyond the screen itself.ĭeveloper thinks it’s appropriate to nag customers and ruin their experience I figure the developer doesn’t have much business experience because it feels like he/she really thinks that it’s funny to nag their customers when they’re using a free version of the app to try it out. The application ruins it’s own purpose by posting nagging comments in the background.
